Dead Birds: Report dead birds to The Elbert County Health Dept. Birds that have been dead less than 48 hours and are free from maggots may qualify for testing. To report dead birds call 303-721-3145 or 303-721-3193. Always wear gloves while handling dead birds, and remember to wash your hands afterwards.
